F294 (2011). Soot particles, including nano-diamonds, in a candle flame.

When nanoparticles were collected carefully from the centre of a candle flame, HRTEM images of these soot particles shows various carbon forms, such as amorphous carbon,  graphitic carbon, fullerenic carbon and diamond carbon. [Z. X. Su, W. Z. Zhou, Y. Zhang, Chem. Commun. 47, 4700-4702 (2011)].
