F326 (2013). Reversed crystal growth of ZnO.

SEM images of ZnO hexagonal plates with a top view (left) and bottom view(right),  showing a core-shell structure, i.e. a single-crystal shell with an amorphous core. This is an evidence of reversed crystal growth. [K. Self, H. J. Zhou, H. F. Greer, Z. R. Tian, W. Z. Zhou, Chem. Commun. 49, 5411-5413 (2013)]. The first author, Katie Self, was a final year undergraduate student and this paper is based on her project report.
